If you are reading this, then the transition from snurkle.net being hosted in Los Alamos to a co-lo somewhere in California has worked. As I am working towards getting things packed up to leave, I needed to stabilize the site somewhat, as it has become important to a growing community of people. As such, I have ‘purchased’ a server at a colo to take it over, and by all accounts, it should be very speedy indeed. If you had an account on this server, and want it back, contact me for new account details.

Email is still in transition. snurkle.net at least has been moved, but everyone else is on hold for the move until I make sure I am not going to have hiccups. DNS has already been updated for all domains I manage. If you have a domain that points at my name servers, contact me for the new addresses.

Hopefully as time goes on I can offer better services, but for now, at least all of the old functionality will remain.

Brian is still working up the mounting for the giant turbo he is putting in his Mustang. Here you can see him attempting to TIG weld a mounting bracket.

Still in Utah, at least for the day. Tomorrow I am headed back to Los Alamos for a short while before coming back up here. Mariel moves in on Sunday, and then we are going to Socorro for a couple of days the first of next week to hang out with some friends. It will be nice to unwind for a few days and not do any work. Doing two weeks at a time here is working out pretty well, but near the end of the two weeks, I start getting a tad frazzled, trying to wrap things up, and just getting kind of burnt out on just sleeping and working with nothing else going on.

Next week, I will be moving snurkle.net over to a new co-lo in California, so things might be wacky for a day or two as all that settles, but I doubt it will be much of a deal.

Hope everyone is having fun.

Somehow, my random picture blocks deserted me. I’m working on getting them working again.

However, I have also succumbed to publishing last played music on last.fm and have added a sidebar section with recently played tracks. You can click on the title there and it’ll take you to my page on last.fm if you feel like seeing what other crummy tracks I listen to. Also, highly recommended, is the band Metric, a somewhat obscure Canadian band that was recently pointed out to me. Bug me and I’ll get you some tracks if you want to check it out. Kinda rock, smooth vocals, indie, good stuff. Look here.

Anyway, just meta for now. I’ll post some meat soonish, maybe another short story if I get inspired.

I just upgraded WordPress to the latest greatest, so this is mostly just a test post. Stay tuned for actual content.

I’ve added a plugin to WordPress here that will cross post whatever I put here over onto LiveJournal. (It’s here in case you were looking for one). So, if you -must- use LiveJournal and you don’t have a paid account where you can syndicate my RSS feed, you can friend cavehamster and have my shiny content appear on your page.

Enjoy!
