Life is weird sometimes. You never know what is going to happen next.
Mike and I are starting out well on our venture so far, got a couple of customers and operating in the black, which is a bonus. I’m probably hanging more off the possible success of this endeavor than is healthy, but… ya gotta take some risks if you want to get out there. This is not to say that Snurkle Engr is not doing OK in and of itself, just… it is a lot of work for one guy these days, especially when you can only see a month or two into the future. wwmelon should make things a tad easier with the subscription sort of monthlies, but it is a ways off from being hamster-sustaining, heh.
Living on the hill is kind of expensive, even though technically I don’t live on -the- hill, it is close enough. I’m considering a move to a cheaper Albuquerque in the nearish future, but that is a few months out.
Really don’t know a lot right now. Wish I did, might help the insomniac-hamster out a tad. Wish it would warm up, quit snowing. The bike is really cheap to ride and operate compared to the truck or anything at all really, but frozen knees are getting old. Compare and contrast 50mpg vs 18mpg (ie, 12 bucks round trip to Abq vs 45 bucks). Yummy.
This is what you get when I post at 4am, rambling. Feed me comments if you are so inclined.
Maybe another chapter soonish on the ‘ol book.
Little hamsters, big adventures, indeed.

You and Kija in Albuquerque would be totally awesome. My spare bedrooom is always available if you ever need it or want a temp place til you figure things out. If you’re looking for something more permament my broker was awesome and I can hook you up w/ his card. IF you rather hedge your bets than I suggest renting a small house like I did, there are a few in my old neighborhood for rent. For a 3 bdrm like the one I had your looking at about $850-1000/month in rent or $165,000 to buy w/ a mtge of $1100-1400 depending on your financing. A lot of the 2bdrm apts and condos go for about $695-785 and anything cheaper is either too small for you, run down, in crappy neighborhoods or some combo therein. (Note the 2bdrm apt. Scott and I had on Academy/Eubank was $775/month and our house was $850/month.) I might be a lil biased but I prefered the house than the apt cause the bonuses far out weighed the small difference in price. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions or need any help I’m only a phone call away. Congrats on the business ventures. Big or small the hamster is doing well indeed.
